As I sit here writing these notes, the Pause order hasn’t been lifted, but we are hoping it will be lifted soon.   The Board members are in contact with each other and we are still working in the background.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Perch Tournament for May and the Kid's Fishing Tournament in July.

As of today, we are looking at holding the Derby.  We have a couple of meetings shortly, and if anything changes, we will update on the website on our derby page and on the club Facebook page as well.

You can join the club or the Derby by going online.  You also should have received a mailing a few weeks ago that has options for you to join the club or the derby as you see fit, please make your selection and mail it back to the club in the envelop provided. At this time your club can use the monetary support since we are not able to hold our typical events and meetings that we normally would be. At some point, we plan to open the club a couple of hours during a weekend for you to come and join.  It will include social distancing guidelines.  Watch the website and Facebook for updates.  No promises, but we will try.

If you wish to sign up for a weigh station, please call 716-649-8237 (which is the Derby Hotline) or you can sign-up online here and leave your name and phone number and we will contact you to set up the day or days.  Again we will be placing in social distancing guidelines to protect volunteers and participants.

We will be looking for volunteers to work the Erie County Fair.  We will get the information about the dates and times when your help is needed, and then we will get them posted on the website.  Once we have done that, you can call 716-649-8202 and leave your name and phone number and we will call you back to set up your time.

The State of the Lake event scheduled for Thursday, April 9th has been postponed.  It may be presented as one or more video conferences on the Internet.  We are in contact with the organizers and they want to get the information to the public as soon as possible.   As soon as we know anything, we will post on the website and on Facebook.

I know this comes across as all negativity.  Unfortunately, it reflects the times we are currently in.  I am hopeful that this will end soon and we can start again on a positive note for the club and its future.

If you have any club questions, please feel free to leave me a message on the club phone (716-649-8202) and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Until next month…be safe out there!

Sue
