From the President's Desk
By Dave "Woody" Woodworth

We are starting the new year out at the new building. Thanks to the many volunteers, today we completed the move from Armor Firehall to our new building at S.5895 Southwestern Blvd. Hamburg, NY 14075. All of our functions will now be held here unless otherwise noted. Thank you to the Armor Firehall for all the cooperation and many friendships throughout the years. Club Lorelie has worked with us to finalize the purchase, I hope we have many years of working together to realize both our endeavors. From time to time our club will be asking the membership for help in fixing and maintaining the premises. Thank you to the people who have already stepped up to the plate.

It's election time. All positions except for 1st Vice President are running unopposed. The election will be held January 19th, 2012 starting at 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m.that evening, at the new building. If anyone has any suggestions or comments please feel free to contact me or come to one of our officers, or board of directors meetings. We have our awards banquet coming up in February, and the Outdoor Exposition coming up at the Hamburg Fairgrounds in March.

We have to be concerned with the protection of the Great Lake system. Our elected officials must start making laws to protect our fresh water system. It can never be replaced. Foreign ships have dumped multiple invasive species and pollutants into our water. This must STOP now.

This move will give us the opportunity to expand and accomplish our goals and many new future endeavors. This can only happen with the help of our membership. Please step forward in the planning and accomplishing of these goals. This is a new adventure for all of us. We need your input and help.

Again I would like to thank EVERYONE for their help this year and Wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As always, take a kid fishing . . . Woody
